Common Seal is optional for a company set up in Malaysia with effect from 31/1/2017. Prior to that, every company is required by law to have a common seal. Company name and number shall appear in legible romanised letters on the seal. The company’s common seal shall only be used with the authority from the directors or in a manner prescribed by the Act, Constitution and Articles of Association. The documents in which the seal is affixed shall be signed by two directors or a director and a secretary.

Common seal shall be kept safe either at the registered office or at the business office.
